Parking is available in the main Herron Park lot. Additional parking is available in the stable parking lot, past the main Herron lot on the right side. If you choose to park along the road, please park off the shoulder to allow for cars to pass on Foys Lake Road.
Volunteers
We are in need of volunteers to run aid stations, sweep the course, the registration table, etc. Volunteers must arrive no later than 8:15AM. Please be prepared for all weather conditions. Please bring a water bottle.
If you are interested in volunteering please contact jamie@runflathead.com.
Aid Stations, Course Guidelines & Restrooms
There will be two aid stations for the ½ marathon and one for the 10K. They will be located close to the finish and at the kiosk at the top of the family trail. Hammer Nutrition is supplying Heed and we will provide water, you must provide your own bottle. The only restroom is located next to the parking lot.
Volunteers will cheer you on and help direct you at the major intersections during the race. The course will be clearly marked with arrows and flagging. Any participants running slower than 15-minute miles may find aid stations and intersections vacant of volunteers! If you stop without finishing the race then you need to check in with a volunteer or race official before leaving. Otherwise, we’ll waste unnecessary time looking for you!
Age Divisions
10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 +
Child Participation
Children are encouraged to participate. Children under the age of 16 years old must have a parent or guardian at the race. Children under the age of 13 must have an adult running the race with them.
Dog Participation
Dogs will NOT be allowed to participate. Much of the course is on single track and having dogs on the trail can make it challenging to pass.

We have created a course utilizing nearly all of the trails within Herron Park, including the new Notch Trail that connects to the Overlook Trail. The course involves 3 loops with minimal overlap, each of which will pass by the start/finish area. This setup will make the race spectator friendly as well as logistically easier for fueling racers. Each loop is shorter than the preceding loop with less elevation change, thus making the course less mentally taxing. Nevertheless, there will be a lot of elevation gain and loss, so training on hills will be imperative. Contact Brian at brian@runflathead.com if you would like more information.
The race will go on, rain or shine!
Results will be posted here after the race:
